About Christine
A long time ago I completed an Art School course but, at the time, could not really see myself pursuing Art as a career.
I wanted to work with people and do something creative as well, so went on to train as an Art Therapist.
This turned out to be a good decision, and led me to explore many interesting pathways with people from all works of life.
At the back of my mind, I kept thinking one day I would get back to doing my own artwork, but it never seemed to happen.
Last year, my ‘New Year Resolution’ was to do something positive about this.
I am now at the point where I would like to share some more of my artwork with the outside world. So far I have enjoyed painting from my photographs and sketches. These are often of nature, the sea and everyday life..
I like to make images that people can relate to, or pictures that tell a story and leave the viewer a little curious. Being creative can lift your spirits and mood and help you stay focussed.
Since taking up painting I have found myself noticing and appreciating life around me a lot more, instead of getting distracted by unimportant things.
I hope you enjoy looking at my pictures as much as I enjoyed making them …..
